Epping Ongar Railway Open Day 22nd June

To coincide with Ongar carnival this year Epping Ongar Railway is opening its doors for the first time since it closed for refurbishment at the end of 2007 to show everyone how we're getting on.
Visitors enter for free and can see volunteers in action painting wagons and moving track, and can join free guided tours given by other volunteers explaining more about what we're doing.

A good sized collection of Routemasters will also be on display with one pacing along in the carnival (and maybe doing a few trips too!)

EOR can be easily reached by travelling to Epping on the LU Central line and taking a bus from thereon to Ongar.

Note that our webmaster is on holiday so www.eorailway.co.uk won't be showing information about this event.

Underground's Central line to Epping then a bus from outside Epping station to Ongar. Did it in June 2005 but it didn't stop outside Ongar station, instead in the village/town centre area so I had to walk a bit.

The 117 DMMU is only used on passenger services, think a small little green 0-4-0 shunter is used on P-Way trains, thats it i'm afraid Josh.
