Hi.

I havent seen the film. So, just like everyone else who doesnt see things before they complain, here's my thoughts etc...

Actually, I think the EOR did the right thing.
They wanted more income (in one sense of the word), as several people have pointed out. At the end of the day, any publicity is good publicity!

Time for some witty reposts now...
Is there any shunting in the film?
Will there be any banking going on?
Do you see any pulling levers?
Greasing points?

Ill leave it there...;)

Does the train reach the end of the line, the guard opens the compartment door and asks the occupants whether they want another ride?

I hope they remembered to grease the nipples on their driving rods...

I can just imagine the letter sent out to the members "We are hosting a hard core film shoot on the railway. Would anyone like to volunteer to help out?"

just noted the time and date of the Telegraph article. Is the film for real?

Its been on the BBC and loads ofd other papers so I think it is for real

Here is the BBCs take
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-32149393

A heritage railway line has apologised for allowing the attraction to be used to shoot a hardcore pornography movie.

The Epping Ongar Railway, set to host an Easter egg hunt this weekend, featured in a video by adult film company Brazzers.

Dean Walton, business development manager at the heritage railway in Essex, apologised to customers for what he called "an error of judgement".

He said any further approaches for such productions would be refused.

Ongar station is clearly recognisable in the opening sequences of the 28-minute movie.

Mr Walton said the railway, which describes itself as "family friendly", had been made available for commercial hire "on a number of occasions" to generate money to run the trains.

He said: "Earlier this year we took a decision to allow an adult film, subject to certain conditions, to be filmed on the railway.

The railway said such films would not be shot there again

"We are sorry that our decision may have caused offence. It is clear that this decision was an error of judgement."

Mr Walton said the railway had no "editorial control" over the content of the movie and that filming took place when the attraction was closed to the public.

A spokeswoman for the railway said conditions included insisting Brazzers worked in line with the legislation governing the porn industry and that it showed "discretion".

She said officials "would have imagined there would be a film that did not look like it took place at the railway".

I think in order to have a balanced view on if this was a good idea or not, it is clear I need to view the film, several times to get a full understanding of the plot ! ! !

Where can we get to see it mmmmm

No publicity is bad publicity ..... new passengers as a result will easily wipe out the 'not got anything better to do' fraternity.

If EOR Publicity dept was to work years on getting railway to the general public could not have go anywhere near the coverage afforded.....well done!

I really can't see what the fuss is about - it's not like it was filmed when the public were around, and I'm sure the railway got a decent income for allowing the filming to take place. This comment amused me, I wonder if she doesn't let the kids into her bedroom at home?

"As a mother, I would be reluctant to take my kids on there again knowing that has gone on.
"I think it's disgusting."

It's hardly something new - one loco owner does an 'adult' calendar with a female posing on/around the loco, and I know another site was used for some 'glamour' type modelling a few years ago.

Rumour has it that half of those people who watched it were just trying to get the numbers of the carriages involved.

As long as the seats have been cleaned I don't know what the problem is, some people just get outraged because they can!

Indeed. Presumably they've never stayed in a hotel either as I'm sure equally 'disgusting' behaviour happens there also!

I would hazard a guess that a Hotel room would see much more 'unsavoury' goings on than has happened on the E&OR, especially if you pay extra!

I'd heard that the actual action didn't happen on the EOR, and that it just featured in a title spot.

It's a welcome development actually, compared to the few "movies" on the internet that were filmed on open NR stations and trains - (presumably) without permission

Aside from everything else that has been said about this incident,I would be interested to learn who leaked this story to the media, and why they did so. I would not like to be them if they are involved with thr Epping & Ongar Railwy.

The "Action" DID take place in a compartment vehicle on the railway. . . .

Ah. Still not really anything to worry about, it also happens in non-preserved railway vehicles / buses / park benches / churches / pretty much every seat you'll ever sit on in public...

I can't believe what some people get so steamed up about......do they not realise what their kids are looking at on their laptop/phone/ipads?

They have admitted it was an error of judgement so it won't happen again and never will they get the same amount of publicity again, unless something else really negative happens. Negative in the eyes of journalists I mean.

It doesn't bother me either way personally. It wasn't publicly viewable until after the event.

I was once on a slam door train coming back from London where a couple were either pretending to be at it in the vestibule area or really were up to something. I didn't hang around to find out which. Not something one expects to come across after a night out.
