Could the National Rail enquiries app be enhanced to show train length ?
It's a really informative tool with timetable updates, train movements and platform allocations, but the one thing which seems to be missing is the train formation.
Most station indicator boards now inform passengers that the service is formed of 4,6,8 or 12 carriages.
It would be really useful if this data could be displayed on the app.
It would indicate where to stand on the platform and potentially indicate short formed services which are likely to be overcrowded.
