for your information, I have been asked to pass on.

Tickets for the excursion train have now been issued and confirmed departure times are advised as:
Hooton: 6.43
Bache : 6.57
Does not call at Chester
Wrexham General: 07.23
Gobowen: 07.42
Shrewsbury: 08.08

the train to Paignton and Kingswear allows for 3 hrs in and around Dartmouth before the return. A steam run on the heritage line is possible at EXtra cost.

Return to Hooton is for 22.34
The train is almost full but there are odd single seats available in Standard class for anyone making a last minute decision to join the day out.

Further details from laurence.wheeler. PM me for his e mail address

Out of interest, will this turn right by the Arriva depot or go into Chester and reverse?

Well, how did this railtour end? Was 67008 replaced at Bristol or did the ets problems sort themselves out?

Spun it from Exeter-Kingswear and back as far as Paignton, was en-route to Cornwall. As 67008 was required and I was in the area, it had to be done.

Ah you must have been the Irish sounding peson in Coach L that I saw bail at Paignton possibly

Here's some pics. Don't usually do any photographing so the quality is a bit dodgy, but you get the general picture!

The ETS didn't get sorted, no. 67008 was still kept though. In darkness for part of journey until about Wrexham where they went of the battery.
