Engineering works query

I want to travel between London and Nottingham on 5th November. I have checked the EMR website engineering works page and the national rail site engineering works page which both show no works on this date.

However, when I try to book, it's coming up with rail replacement buses wither between East Midlands Parkway and Peterborough, or Hitchin and Luton.

Any ideas what the issue is?

There are engineering works between Luton and St Pancras Saturday and Sunday so everything to / from the North is starting / terminating at Luton with buses running between Luton and Hitchin. The East Coast Main Line is also blocked between Peterborough and Grantham so the Norwich services are diverting via Melton Mowbray.

The possession at Cricklewood has been cancelled throughout, so expect to see various systems updated imminently and services reinstated (if EMR/GTR are able to do so!).

For clarity, do you refer to 5 November (as per original post) or this weekend when loads of engineering work is postponed on account of the royal funeral?

I do apologise. I misread it and was referring to the imminent weekend.
