Does anyone know what is being done at Trent today and this evening?

I saw an EMT Meridian coming off the high level onto the Up Slow this afternoon and there was a possession south of Trent East this evening.

What route are Nottingham - London services taking?

According to the weekly operating notice, everything on the Down is crossing to the slow at Loughborough North, then via the high level lines to Toton Centre. Derby trains then return via Trent East to Sheet Stores Jn, and Nottinghams are supposed to be via Meadow Lane Jn and Attenborough Jn.

There was some new S&C stacked up by the track at Trent during the week. As all the pointwork at Trent itself is pretty new I am guessing that they are replacing something at Trent South. The crossovers to the High Level Lines were pretty ropey last time I looked, though they could only do half of these with the diversion as described by Tomnick.

Theres also work going on along by Sawley. The highway has been taken up and the level crossing closed while the line is replaced, which isnt pleasing the locals.

This blockade continues on Sundays now until 17th November, range of works going on over the 4 Sundays such as some re rail, sleeper and ballast of 118mi - 119mi 44ch (Just south of East Midlands Parkway to just north of Trent South Junction) and also some drainage works 115mi 42ch - 116mi 15ch (The Kegworth area between East Midlands Parkway and Loughborough).

This weekend was Saturday and Sunday because of complete renewal of Signalling & Communications 118mi 20ch - 119mi 44ch.

Furthermore until next Monday Trent South Junction between the slow lines and Nottingham lines is out of use, Lincoln - Leicester services are re timed to use Radcliffe Junction, which is the crossovers at the Derby end of East Midlands Parkway.
