Hey everyone, unfortunately a job offer has been retracted on me, so I am wondering if you have any ideas what (soon to be) graduate mechanical engineer could be looking at within the railway perspective? I imagine places like bombardier, wabtech or Brush would be the main contenders.

The ROSCOs and TOCs also need people to maintain and enhance their rolling stock. There may be openings in Network Rail too.

I hadnt thought of TOC's and Roscos! I've signed up to NR's graduate scheme for next year, I have a meeting with a Careers Advisor from the Uni to help polish up my CV next week, then I will send it out to a few places (Wabtech/brush, manufaturers, TOC's and ROSCOS)

Just so you know, I have applied for a job with a large rolling stock engineering firm on their graduate program. SO far I have had to complete an Application form. Have had to do a 'Dependability and Safety Questionnaire' From a company called SHL on Demand. And an soon going to complete 'Swift Analysis Aptitude Test' Designed by Saville Consulting.

I'll let you know how it goes, but so far I seem to have got through the paper sift, and through the first Questionnaire.
