Hi

(Wasn't sure where to post this so please don't go mad if its in the wrong place.)

I'm currently developing a new system for tram/rail safety that will save lives and stress to drivers. I'm looking to find any folk with mechanical engineering or experience working with tram rail to help further my thinking.

Many thanks
Paul

I presume you are proposing rather than developing?

You can start by being more specific with your idea. The next step would be to carry out a literature review. Google Scholar would be a good place to start.

You'll need to have 5 posts before you can personal message, but once you have those feel free to PM.

What I'd be interested in knowing is this some sort of mechanical improvement to the actual trams/trains or some sort of warning system?

Thanks for the reply Chaps

In answer to your question it's a kind of warning system for pedestrians and the elderly, attached to the outer band of the track.

Nick I am proposing and looking at getting assistance in developing the concept further with people that have a knowledge of tram systems etc.

If someone likes the project and it turns into a commercially viable product then there is chance for an appropriate share of the business...

My email address is p.johnson@revergy.co.uk

Many thanks

Could you elaborate further?

Are we talking radar/cctv or something more mechanical like a giant people plough?
