Engine/wagon plate

Hi folks,

Apologies if this is the wrong thread I've posted in.

Attached is an image of a metal plate I found at the side (cess) of the track whilst working one night, this was in Glasgow. I'm curious as to what it is.

I can make out 'Inter Repairs' along the top and then 7720 across the middle. Along the bottom is 1974.

As it says.
It is a plate that details when a wagon had some intermediate repairs carried out on it.
Unfortunately as it is no longer attached to the vehicle that had the repairs I don't think it is possible to identify what vehicle that was.

Fascinating to think that it had lay there all that time at the side of the track.
