Maybe if the OP can give a full clarification of suffixes?

The first posting on this thread now gives some examples. Whilst Germanic abbreviated suffixes are being discussed here, can I raise the matter of TGV as being an abbreviation with "E" being the last last letter of the third abbreviated word of Vitesse....which then would leave a decision to make of "V" or "E" to be made.
