In the skiffle days of Lonnie Donegan, that song mentioned by me above was the basis for an artist with a sense of humour to paint a country scene with a fence and a place with which to cross it, upon which was a bowl of apple crumble and custard.
The artist called it "Pudding on the Stile"...
