Just a couple of questions for those in the know;

The last Nottm - London next sat, 2128, arrives STP over 30 mins later than usual. Is it diverted via Wymington? (makes it a bit tight for the last tubes!)

Is the 0930 from STP - Sheffield on Sunday diverted via Stenson?
The first three Nottinghams are cancelled between London and Leicester so I imagine the Sheffields will be rather full!

Liverpool - Norwich trains don't stop at Chesterfield all day Sunday but they do stop at Alfreton. Does this mean they pass Chesterfield non-stop?

(Sorry, that's three!)

Yes it is via Wymington, Network Rail have had to do some last minute engineering works, meaning that the fast lines between Sharnbrook and Wellingborough are being taken under possession late saturday night till around midday on sunday. As a result there is reduced capacity between Wellingborough and Bedford and therefore this has resulted in the several Nottingham services in each direction in the morning being cancelled between Leicester and London.

The 0930 is not diverted via Stenson and is actually diverted via Toton over the high level goods from Trent.

Liverpool - Norwich trains don't stop at Chesterfield all day Sunday but they do stop at Alfreton. Does this mean they pass Chesterfield non-stop?

Due to Engineering Works in the Chesterfield area the main lines are closed through the station and as a result all south/westbound trains are not calling at Chesterfield, with all east/northbound services using platform 3.

Finally, platform 3 being used!

Further to this, I notice that the work at Chesterfield is continuing this weekend and EMT are not running between Sheffield and Derby, bus replacement instead.

Does anyone know why XC are running as normal (but not stopping at Chesterfield) and EMT aren't?
Surely it's not a pathing issue because although the platform lines are closed, the back lines are open?

Is this a diversion via Beighton? If so there may not be enough capacity for both operators.

I don't think it is. I travelled down from Sheffield last Sunday on an XC service and it crossed over at Tapton Jcn. and then back to the Derby lines at Clay Cross North.

EMT are running, just not calling at Chesterfield in the up direction like CrossCountry - http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/sea...8/0000-2359?stp=WVS&show=all&order=wtt&toc=EM
