Hi All,

Please could you find me the contact details for East Midland Trains' Lost Property office ASAP as I have lost a memory stick (USB) containing confidential information. I believe I left it on a EMT 158(865) between Ely and Norwich this evening. I believe the set is maintained by Nottingham Eastcroft however AFAIAA it is staying overnight at Norwich so may also contact NXEA.

I would have a look on their site but it is down for maintenance at the moment.

Thanks,

TP

When items of lost property are found on East Midlands Trains, it is generally recovered at the train’s final destination.
Please contact the Nottingham lost property office on 0115 957 6525.

Thanks, I really feel like going down to Norwich station tomorrow to see if the station cleaners have recovered it and to intercept it.. one good thing: I have another USB identical to the one lost so should make it easier to identify.

Will try to contact NXEA but they are open Mon-Fri only <(<(

From my experience, at the end of the line, Scotrail inspectors go up and down the train checking if anything is lying there and to put all of the damn Metros in the bin. The guy has probably handed it into Lost Property. Hope you find it.

I went down to the station at about 1045(2245) last night, it hadn't been handed in by the cleaners but then he worked out that the station cleaners didn't actually touch the train.. it went straight empty to depot. Whether that is Crown Point or Nottingham Eastcroft I don't know (probably the former).

I filled out a NXEA lost property form with all the details of the service '1552 LIV to NRW, 1L14' Boarded ELY alighted NRW. Unit number also.

Entered a full description of the stick... might go down tomorrow daylight just to check that it didn't fall out whilst I was in the vestibule and was kicked out onto the track.

Of cause the worst case scenario is that someone has pocketed it and that I won't see it again.

Fingers Crossed.

I would hope that if there is sensitive information on it, then it would be backed up somewhere!

Anyway, best of luck for getting it back, hopefully it will be found.
