In the dec 08 timetable, they sentn HSTs to nottingham, and 222s to sheffield, to get better timings.

I still see Meridians and HSTs at both though, so they haven't separated it completlely.

Incidentally, does anyone have the details of HSTs/Meridians which go between Nottingham and Sheffield now? A couple of times I managed to get a Nottingham - Sheffield Meridian, which was nice!

Not got the journey details to hand, but in combination with a look at the EMT timetable (number 1 IIRC) and the EMT diagrams on the 125 Group website should give you that.

AFAIK, the only HST weekdays to go from Nottingham to Sheffield is the 1625 London St. Pancras to Leeds.

No Meridians are diagrammed go between Nottingham and Sheffield on weekdays. Think there is on weekends.

I do see a few HST's still at Derby but honestly it's always they come out of Etches Park pull into the station and trundle off down south or vice versa.
Stay for an hour and you will see one.
But if you go to East Mids Parkway you see a hell of a lot more of them.
Bit of a shame for all the sheff lot and chesterfield as they only get XC HST's.

I did see an EMT HST in Sheffield the other day - really can't remember what time though - was working one of the afternoon xx:27 departures to St Pancake. No idea if that was a one off as I haven't seen the diagrams. Strikes me as very odd having HSTs to Notts and Mermaids to Sheff but I guess ours is not to reason why!
