So, I was on the 17:40 to Lime St. from Sheffield this afternoon, going to Mauldeth Road.
The EMT service was about 20 mins late on arrival at Manchester P, I recorded at 18:58, rather than the timetabled arrival time of 18:36. The problem is, the only time listed in the East Midlands Trains timetable is the departure time, 18:37 - but National Rail Enquiries does list the booked arrival time of 18:36 if you ask it for a journey ending in Manchester. Minimum connection time is 10 minutes at Piccadilly, and the Airport train I was hoping to catch was obviously missed at 18:46. Will they claim it was an "illegal" connection of only 9 minutes? I got on the 19:14, which itself was 4 mins late at Mauldeth Road (arrived about 19:25, booked 19:21).
I was therefore delayed by 34 mins, but how can I get this across effectively to EMT for the purposes of Delay Repay? Or can this not be done?
Frustratingly, the Delay Repay claim form offers no box for an explanation, and states that only my journey on EMT must be included in the box with the timings for the delayed train. If I just fill the form in based on the Sheffield - Manchester journey, they are sure to reject it because it was only a 22 minute delay. To make matters worse, I have an advance ticket to Manchester STNS, and a return to from Mauldeth Road to Manchester CTLZ!

I'm just used to calling it the "Airport train" so it was probably my fault!
