EMT + Connections Internet Advance

Hi Guys,

Looking for a little advice if you don't mind.

I have an EMT + Connections Advance ticket, I know I have to travel on the EMT I booked on that's not a problem, but I have the option of 2 trains to get me to London to catch the EMT.

1 involves a change and the other doesn't.

According to my booking I am booked on the changing train but can I travel on the direct?

Whats the exact journey you've booked? It depends on the train(s) you are booked on with the connecting leg

When you say "Accoring to my booking" do you mean the confirmation email which "advises" you of which train to take to make your connection? Or do you have a ticket which specifies which train you have to take from Wivenhoe? You will only be obliged to take a certain train if you have a seat reservation for that part of the journey.

Your journey is also going too involve use of the tube and there is certainly no way you would have to take a specific tube train. Without seeing your ticket I can't say 100% but i would think that you will be able to take any train into London from Wivenhoe but you HAVE to be on the specific train from St Pancras to Market Harborough

Welcome to the forum.

It's not quite clear to me what the question is, but the terms of Advance tickets are quite clear that you must take the booked train and you may take appropriate connecting trains.

If you can provide us with the exact details of the ticket and what you'd like to do, we may then be able to give a more specific answer.

Do you mean you have two alternative itineraries rather than trains?

Have you collected your tickets yet?

Does your confirmation say that you are reserved on either of your connecting services?
