222010 outside etches park being cleaned, went past it just on the way from Derby-Nottingham, looking through the windows and its been refurbed,

Have they added "wings" to the headrests? Or do they just show up more in that over-bright red?

The headrests look almost identical to me, although they do stand out much more in red.

Personally, I think the colour scheme looks remarkably similar to VT/XC, bar the blue seats on VT/XC's. It does look good though. I don't think VT or XC need to refurbish the Pendolino and Voyager interiors any time soon though. They aren't the most comfortable seats in the world, but are more than adequate, don't look "cheap", and are certainly hard-wearing. I will try EMT's new First Class seats soon - I just hope the leather doesn't stick too much.

And when did XC refurbish their trains? They look no different to 5 years ago, apart from having extra luggage space instead of the shop in coach D!

They were never properly refurbished rather reconfigured expect new upholstery and carpeting soon though! Xc voyagers) btw are merdians quieter than voyagers?

I believe 222012 is next, saw it in Etches Park yesterday with half the seats missing, and the other half had red moquette

I'd say the engine note is far smoother and refined.
