top tip - there will be a lot of applications. Check your spelling etc, the best way to get an application binned is to not bother to spell check your answers! Good luck to all who apply... ;)

Great job, great team and with the course being a full Driver course progression to mainline (if you want to of course) is an option.

good luck to those applying

Thanks for the post. If and when mainline driver job comes do they give preference to depot driver if they are interested in it? Or they can give it to new applicants? Thnx

Yeah depot drivers are to be used first, basically ready made drivers for EMR when they are needed. We do 2 weeks high speed handling then out with an instructor/mentor for route learning and get the hours under your belt before passing out mainline.

it’s a good Job depot driving you definitely learn a lot. I was off the street and loved every moment of training and doing the job.

Hi to all,
My application is in and my fingers are crossed. It's been a long time since I have been excited about starting a new career.

While I'm waiting to hear back I am doing everything I can to prepare, just in case its a yes. Any advice welcome and good luck to all who applied.

Not really I am afraid, now you play the waiting game. This process really will test your patience as things will seem to not progress, then stop altogether, then get going again. If you are invited to assessments they will send all the practice material that you need to prepare, once that arrives, practice as much as you can.

Just had my email saying I’ve not been shortlisted. Bit gutted tbf, felt my application was reasonably strong but obviously didn’t quite hit the mark they were looking for.

Same, gutted but not going to let it hit my positivity, always next time :)

Good luck to those who got shortlisted.

Don't be too disheartened, there were just over 1000 applications that were all hand scored with the top-scoring going through.
Simple things such as not fully answering the statements or living more than 45 mins away would have resulted in not being shortlisted.

Hi, I got an email on the 28th Dec inviting me to Stage 1 assessment on the 12th January. My partner had also applied but has heard nothing. No reason to think her application any weaker than mine. They may just have a back log of applicants and of course Covid may play it's part.
Good luck.

Thank you for your replies, as of yet I haven't heard anything but as you say could be various factors so I will find out soon enough I guess. Good luck all

Hi All,

Recently got through to stage 2 of the EMR application stage 'assessment day'. Wondered if anybody could shed some further light on this for me? Provide some info on what I can expect on the day, thanks!

You do a couple of group exercises and then some speed dating interview questions.

Don't expect any feedback if you fail though, they just blank you
