In the past, I bought my 26-30 Railcard at East Midlands Railway (notably because the Railcard website couldn't recognise my passport information). The address is https://railcards.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/ , which is linked from the main EMR website.

However, when I try to go through the same process again, the main EMR website now links to https://www.railcard.co.uk/ instead.

Compare the live site https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/tickets-discounts/get-a-discount/railcards/26-30-railcard and the archived site https://web.archive.org/web/2023051...ounts/get-a-discount/railcards/26-30-railcard , and you can see the difference.

The EMR Railcard website still works at this moment, but it is causing me a red flag. Will I have trouble if I want to renew my railcard in the future?

Was the separate site ever anything more than a thin wrapper over the National Rail/RDG system, anyway? A few of the TOCs have got sites like these, I've never really understood the point of them existing.

It's quite interesting that the passport validation was implemented differently

The Railcard website didn't recognise my nationality (GBN). EMR didn't have the problem.

Out of curiosity more than anything else, does TrainSplit's work?

It's unusual to be picky about the 3 characters, IMO, so this is an odd failure case.
