I'm sure I've caught 153s coupled to 156s on the Liverpool route very occasionally before. Was quite a nice change going through the hope valley on a 153 actually.

Just one for the record. Due to a fault with the 156. 153381 worked a delayed 2L79 1750 NOT-LCN solo last night.

The EMR service indicator suggests that a lone 153 is on the Derby - Crewe service this afternoon.
