A couple of NHS shuttle buses:

Guys to St Thomas' Hospital. Not clear who runs it but I think it was Crystals a few years back. Not open to the public.


A service also operates from Orpington Station to Fort Halstead (MOD), operated by Go-Coach for staff only.

Kings College London's student newspaper brings the Hospital bus into 2019: http://roarnews.co.uk/2019/print-ghost-bus-gets-busted/. It seems as though it is untimetabled, hence why there probably isn't a lot said about it.

I'd be surprised if the Fort Halsted service is publicised anywhere outside of a secure intranet, bearing in mind who it is for, and what is, or at least was, there.

For the Guys and St Thomas shuttle, there was an FOI in 2016 which said there were four buses running a continuous shuttle; there was no formal timetable.

For the Fort Halstead shuttle, I've not found any details. There are possibly two runs Orpington to Fort Halstead in the morning peak and two in the afternoon peak. Other than the news article in 2019 and the 2016 FOI, nothing more recent and no reference on the hospitals website anymore.

Midland Classic's X11 between Burton Boots and Aston is now showing on the timetable page on the website. The service is open to the public with special fares.

There's a shuttle for Barclays workers operating between Knutsford bus station and Radbrooke Hall. I saw this operating the week before last and it's currently run by Holmeswood Coaches.

The Omega site in Warrington has a works service provided by MP Travel.

I think there's some operating from Chester station to the financial institutions on the outskirts of the city as well.

My Missus used to work for a company called KBR in Leatherhead which had a staff shuttle bus to and from the station. I think the site was quite high security and there may have been a few defence-related firms there too, so it may not have been solely for KBR. We know all about it - the coach that was operating the service scraped the side of our car!

If you wanted to extend the list to include trains, I suppose you could count the early morning service train on the Snowdon Mountain railway that carries the supplies and the staff to the caff on top of the mountain. I assume there's also a return evening working.

Google Maps also shows 'Passenger Plus' within that site and Streetview does show up what might be bus waiting areas.

When I was driving home from Nottingham at about 2300 last night, I saw a Sharpes of Nottingham decker on Mansfield Road with ‘Frasers Group Nottingham’ on the display. No more info than that I’m afraid, but it’s a start!

Recruiters have told me that there are work shuttles operating from Chester station to both Bank of America, Chester Business Park and Moneysupermarket, Ewloe.

The two-tone blue bus will be one of Metrobus' local bus services which call into the site on certain journeys. From your description, I'd guess either a 420 or 820 to Sutton Station. Passenger Plus are indeed a coach operator though, with a mix of buses, coaches and cars, and use the site as an operating centre.

Some very brief 'there is a bus' text on some of the old planning documents and letting brochures but nothing concrete which would I would trust it still runs (certainly as letting brochures will say anything)

The single decker bus in the photo is a Metrobus service, they divert a number of their routes to the site at shift times (listed under Local bus services).

Passenger Plus, I have their app and there is nothing in there suggesting a route to Pfizer. Must just be an ops centre.

There is the 113 Dewsbury-Pinderfields-Potefract Hospitals service, funded by the NHS and free for passengers (staff, patients, visitors) to use. It only stops at the hospitals, plus Pontefract Southgate.

There are also shuttle buses from Doncaster Infirmary to Mexborough Montague and Bassetlaw Hospitals.

That's a shame! I invariaby didn't have to pay, as the driver never had any cash, it was less than a mile from the terminus and I was the only member of the general public on there!
