I am struggling to think of a situation where I have been in an emergency situation? Please can somebody give some light on this.

Have you had to deal with anything first aid related that has come up out the ordinary?

Perhaps an evacuation where you may of had to follow procedures?

This is the sort of things I used.

Ever came across a road accident. They dont want you to be superman but can show that you stayed calm under pressure and used good communication skills. You may identified risks/hazards and kept others away through good use of organising skills whilst contacting the appropriate emergency services to attend. Give answer in STAR format.

It did not end badly saying that and I did not cause this accident to happen however there was no need for emergency services etc just the insurance companies.

Anything that's happened unexpected and you have taken control and shown you can think clearly and remain calm.

Train Presentation Supervisor, there is probably a few things I can use now speaking to someone it does not mean the situation has to be life threatening as most people believe

It doesn’t have to be an emergency as such, and I believe they word the question as “emergency or unexpected event”, which makes it a bit more realistic.

Even using the work “emergency” though, it doesn’t have to be life or death, and it just requires the candidate to think outside the box a little.

I have just had a chat with somebody on the train and yes they have said emergency is not critical which is what people sometimes mistake it for. I can now think outside the box on this. Thanks very much.

I useda previous role for this question where I had to operate a ride. repetitive tasks, constantly checking the surroundings and following rules and regulations.

There's a fair amount of things out there.

Motorway drive seems like a good one to use. I have done many of them and had to do certain things in order to keep myself safe. Delivery driver is one to use as well I suppose.

Have you ever played a sport where someone has been injured? rugby football maybe you administered first aid etc..

Use one where you can give examples of how you acted calmly and followed any required procedures or previous training if possible (if you have previously taken a first aid course and used that in a situation is an example) that is what they are looking for.

Okay many thanks I am going on a first aid course hopefully soon. However, there is a few things I can use from when I worked on depot. Many unexpected situations happened then.
