Has anyone noticed Flybe have introduced the above to the fleet ?

Is it my imagination or do they seem to have less legroom than the 195 version.

As an aside despite the demise of BMI Baby I have just booked my X-Mas Flights on x-mas eve to Birmingham for £29.99..bargain or what

I nearly booked them a month or so back when the prices were £10 higher, it's amazing x-mas eve was part of the sale they are running.

Who needs a train for this 45min hop !!!

They have been out a while and regularly substitute a Dash-8 on the BHX-EDI. I don't have a problem with legroom on the 175s although the new carpet smell has worn off thankfully. The only problem I have found is if you are on a remote stand you wait a while for the steps since, unlike the 195s and Dash-8s, they don't use their own.

Yes, it was EDI-BHX return - out on a 175 back on a 195 - it seemed to me the 195 had more leg room. More suprisingly both flights were full.

0855 EDI-BHX Saturday 2030 return on Sunday (last weekend)

Another suprise a q at security at BHX on return flight. Used to be none at that time of the night when the terminals were seperate.

Another suprise the return flight started boarding at the advertised time and took off on time - most unusual in my experience -normally boarding commences at the take off time. The built in excess on the 45 minute flying time allows for this.

Most annoying as I was unable to enjoy the new smoking facilty airside at BHX:roll:

Unsurprising considering that Flybe have squeezed 88 economy seats on their models, compared to the E195s which have a more standard configuration. LOT have 82 economy class seats on their E175s, which allows for more legroom.

They've done this to make the E175s as economical to run as the Q400s on short routes.

35 E175's are being delivered to add to the existing fleet of 16 E195's.

They also have options on another 105 !!!!

I haven't been on any of the new 175's yet, but personally, I think the 195 is a very comfortable short haul aircraft to fly on, having done several trips on them.
I also find there's a good sense of spaciousness, considering the narrower than usual cabin and 4 + 4 seating is much better than 3 + 3 anyday.

Ah that explains it, I knew the 175 "was tighter" than the 195

I flew LCY - GLA back in June on a E170 , legroom was tight . The 190 are more spacious.
