First used to operate a route like this back in the late 90s but made a right hash of it. I hope this new route does well.

I believe the 59 used to be extended up to Tyndrum about four times a day at most, from memory of looking at old timetablesWhat route was that?
What route was that?
It's already open and running Perth to Aberdeen serviceFrom their jobs page, Perth will be their next location, opening next month.
I can't see them doing too much with Perth outside of Fife unless they intend to do more localised services, perhaps a reestablishment of the 973?From their jobs page, Perth will be their next location, opening next month.
What was the 973?I can't see them doing too much with Perth outside of Fife unless they intend to do more localised services, perhaps a reestablishment of the 973?
Route towards Oban perhaps?I can't see them doing too much with Perth outside of Fife unless they intend to do more localised services, perhaps a reestablishment of the 973?
Between Oban and Perth which I believe had a short diversion into Killin (which none one Highland-Edinburgh routes currently serve)What was the 973?
Thinking about it this route on paper looks like a good one to bring people to Oban from Aberdeen, Dundee & Northern Fife to name a few. Wether actual demand is there for it is another question. Will only find out in time.Between Oban and Perth which I believe had a short diversion into Killin (which none one Highland-Edinburgh routes currently serve)
The number of drivers in the north of Scotland who are not plodding round happily doing school runs or local services will be quite low, ember have to take what is avilable. Why they would let inexperienced drivers out in a 300k+ coach on rural roads does seem to smack of desperation. The A82 north of Fort William in particular from Invermoriston to Inverness is a brutal road for Coaches and needs maximum skill and experience in reading the road conditions.
It's the age old philosophy, treat your employees right and the won't want to leave.

They have really struggled to attract drivers in anywhere that's not Dundee with the rubbish contract they offer and they still won't change it!I know it's a small base, but they're honestly lucky they managed to staff Thurso.
Trying to compete with the 902 then effectivelyEmber registered the E19 with the DVSA starts 1st of July between the Livingston depot and Edinburgh airport via uphall and Broxburn
Crikey, will be interesting to see the stops in inbetween.Buchanan Bus Station to Edinburgh Airport also coming soon!![]()
It would be interesting to see it extended over to Glasgow Airport, though mind on me that would probably have to be extended into the City Centre on the other end.Crikey, will be interesting to see the stops in inbetween.
ead for ember with big expansion planned across Scotland and Northern Engl
Job description for Network Analyst describes...Are they REALLY going to Newcastle?

With this route being one that will be competing with the Citylink AIR service (which runs every 20 minutes and is becoming a 24/7 service) and/or the 902, the only way I can think that it could compete is by serving stops that AIR doesn't.Crikey, will be interesting to see the stops in inbetween.
If they can do an Edinburgh to Inverness, then they can do an Edinburgh to NewcastleAre they REALLY going to Newcastle?
I seem to recall in a press release, they said after linking Peterhead, that would be it in terms of expansion.Really exciting times ahead for ember with big expansion planned across Scotland and Northern England.
With the volume of coaches with Scotzeb funding (plus dealing with all the venture capital funding), expansion needs to be significant.I seem to recall in a press release, they said after linking Peterhead, that would be it in terms of expansion.
