Email notifications

Apologies if this is not the appropriate section; I've had a look at the FAQ and couldn't find an answer.

I've realised that I'm getting one email for every response to anything I post, all of which are being redirected to my junkmail.

I know that you can turn off email notifications for a particular thread if you choose, but is it possible to change my account settings so that I never get these emails in the first place? I check back fairly regularly so they're no use to me.

User CP > Edit Options and change Instant to No Email Notifications.

Go to 'User CP - (link at top of page)
Then 'Edit Options' (in side bar)
Then in the Messaging and Notification section you'll find 'Default Thread Subscription Mode', and there's a drop down that allows for 'No email notification'. I find 'Do not subscribe' has the same effect.

Indeed, but I believe 'Do Not Subscribe' will also stop showing you what threads you have contributed to, e.g. when you click User CP' you won't see any new posts in threads (I am willing to be corrected on this one).
