Elstree to Braintree on Saturday?

Dear all,

is there any chance getting a day return on Saturday from Elstree & Borehamwood to Braintree Freeport cheaper than £33.60?

Well for some reason a return from Radlett is £28.30 which is one station back from Elstree. I guess that may be down to TfL not liking paper tickets for legs wholly within the zones.

Radlet - London Zones 1-6 Super Off Peak Day Travelcard £12.70
Boundary Zone 6 - Braintree Super Off Peak Day Return £15.10

Is slightly cheaper than the through ticket and gives additional validity in zones 1-6 should this be required.
