ELR to get 4472

the East Lancashire Railway will definetly be testing 4472 "Flying Scotsman" after Overhaul the boiler is already at the ELR in Ian Rileys shed

Didn't Pete Watermen offer to pay for the rest of the overhaul but the NRM turned it down due to the terms & conditions?

4472 Flying Scotsman is one of the Steam Loco i haven't seen and it's been an dream to see it, i have seen the frames and the Tender at York but not in working order, if Flying Scotsman is ready for 2011, i going to try and go out of my way to see it

Didn't Pete Watermen offer to pay for the rest of the overhaul but the NRM turned it down due to the terms & conditions?

Pete Waterman was acting on behalf of an anonymous individual to fund the rest of the overhaul and have exclusive use of her for the duration of her next ticket before handing her back post-overhaul.

Quite sensibly this was turned down for a variety of reasons, one of them likely being the conditions of the grants that were made available for her purchase & overhaul and the numerous donations.
