For all those who like me have a passion for kettles this weekend is the elr steam gala, featuring 71000,duke of gloucester, 44871, 73129 and visitng from the servern valley Ivatt class 2 46443. There is an early morning parcels train with 46443 with photographic run pasts at Burrs for which we are asking for donations of £10 to help towards the costs of the gala.
This is the first visit in preservation of 46443 to the elr. It was stored at Bury in late 66/early 67 before moving to the svr.
Burrs runpasts will be from approx 8am. Also for any c&w enthusiasts the parcels set will also see the return of the 3p20 parcels group GUV which has not run for 25yrs
