We are proud to announce that we have acquired ‘Elizabeth’, the famous 1931 Sentinel Steam Bus. For many years she has delighted tourists and locals alike in the Yorkshire seaside resort of Whitby but now a new chapter in her fascinating history has begun.

Elizabeth is a coal-fired, steam powered vehicle which was originally built as a steam waggon to carry freight but now carries a custom-built bus body which seats 30 people. Once she has been delivered to our depot and crew training has been carried out, Elizabeth will appear in Weston-super-Mare on special occasions. We hope to offer rides on this unique vehicle so keep watching our website for more news.

I have no connection with Crosville Motor Services and this is only placed for interest. Was amused when a family member said that the £100,000+ spent on this could have been used to replace some of their fleet.
