I really like it! Although I do wish they had it continuing down onto that white bit at the front. Is the livery applied to the entire train? That'd be cool.

Yeh its only applied to cars 1 and 9. Part of it is already peeling tho. Part of the front wasn't applied at all either.

I read the two top colors as the bi flag, though the colors are a little off and it's missing the middle purple.

Leaving aside the way the front side panel has been left alone, which doesn't work in my view, it's lovely to see such a vibrant livery, especially focusing on the promotion of togetherness within many more of the fault lines in our society than are typically focused on. Regardless of differing personal views on the best route to inclusion, and indeed any other topic, I hope such liveries can be used to promote greater kindness and understanding between everyone, in a world which seems to be increasingly more polarised and intolerant on many issues, and from several sides.
The first thing I thought about upon seeing the design was Archbishop Desmond Tutu's dreams of a "rainbow nation". A metaphor built on peace - which strikes me as something we need more of.

It's a far better livery than the GWR 800, which could do with a redesign, not least for ease of number-getting! I look forward to spotting 345055 on my travels.

Isn't this more inclusive than just using the flag. It is about inclusion of everyone including race, ethnicity and disability.

I wasn’t aware that the original 8 colour flag was exclusive of any of these PCs?
