Thanks for the info here, and yeah, definitely a long-term idea.I can tell you which! It won't be my own depot at Gidea Park as we're all mostly new people. We all like it here with our new facilities too, the east has a list of people waiting since... probably 2016Sadly an unfortunate circumstance last year meant we lost a great colleague at Shenfield, but the West is more likely to get you in. I wouldn't expect to be able to move from Old Oak any time soon if you did join us here.

I'm not sure what rostering is like at Overground, but at Elizabeth Line we work 8 weeks (I call it 7.5 weeks) and then we have 2 weeks off (I call it 2.5 weeks off as it's a minimum of 16 days I get off in a row). And for me this roster is brilliant. Obviously this is therefore an average 4 day week. Plus 10 days ad-hoc AL.
I've worked a 4-day week elsewhere and wouldn't want to go back to that.
You can also work RDs and take the day back as lieu leave elsewhere. Which again for me is brilliant. Do it as much as you want across the year, but you can only ever have 5 banked days at a time.
OOC is a nice depot if you take away the chaotic road conditions around the depot due to HS2 works, and the fact that there's nothing around the depot area either. We sign all routes so you get some variety, although limited as the network isn't exactly big anyway . I've worked elsewhere and signed 8 or so traction types, and loads of routes - now I sign one traction and far far less routes. Pros and cons to both.
