I was thinking about the weekend-only c2c services to Liverpool Street, and thinking that while they will take a lot of people to shop in Stratford, they must be pretty empty between Stratford and Liverpool Street since the through Liz opened.
I was wondering if the weekend daytime half-hourly c2c services that serve Stratford and Liverpool Street could be diverted to Fenchurch Street, and the half-hourly Grays to Fenchurch Street via Dagenham service could be diverted via Stratford to Paddington and run as a weekend-only part of the Liz. The journey time from Paddington to Grays would be similar to the journey time from Paddington to Shenfield, so lack of toilets in Liz stock shouldn't be an issue. I think the Liz has enough spare stock at the weekend to do this. The c2c stations are all wheelchair accessible (except Chalkwell, which is on a different branch). The stations are all long enough, apart from the bay at Grays, where the platform is about 10 metres too short so presumably something would have to change there.
