Elizabeth line Paddington change platforms

Sometimes I've been at the AB platforms at Paddington when there is an announcement to go to the mainline station for the next train.

How does that interact with contactless if you have already tapped in to the Elizabeth Line platforms?

This has happened to me before at Paddington; I was refunded the minimum fare later that week without having to submit the form on the TfL website. Just remember to tap back in at the mainline station even if the barriers are open.
