I’ve just got a train from Hayes & Harlington to Reading and that was running fine, to time. The Western end of the line appears to be running fine so the “entire” line definitely isn’t shut down.

Apologies, forgot the western end of the line existed. Easy to do when you’re travelling within east London!

Entire line? I can see services are certainly running west from Paddington.

If trains heading towards Stratford are already in the core they will start being held at the platforms at Whitechapel and Liverpool Street and beyond, so that Abbey Wood trains can't get past.

It looks like they've now cleared all trains that were stuck and the Crossrail Core is showing as having largely recovered service to time (although many fewer trains visible on the maps) so you'll be fine for the Abbey Wood branch tonight I expect. The Mains at Romford are still closed, so presumably XR service has been thinned/cancelled to allow GE to Divert longer-distance trains onto the Electrics between Shenfield and Ilford.

Just on what I think is the second train through so should start recovering. Lots of emergency services still at Romford.
