Electronic rail vouchers - coming or not?

I and no doubt many of us have frequently received green paper vouchers as compensation or for delays or some other difficulty.

Are any of the TOCs planning to introduce electronic vouchers that can be used for payment or part payment through their online booking engines?

If they did it would save queuing, earn any available rewards points and allow us to avail any online discount.
