Not really: another selfish idiot has got fried, causing grief for his relatives, a nasty job for railway and emergency services people and costs for the rest of us - and disruption to the travel of loads of people. How much does the railway spend on removing graffiti?
The apologists ought to offer to pay up for what it costs everyone else. I (and my kids) know not to mess about inside private property where there is a danger to life: why these crocodile tears for people who don't seem to understand (or ignore) the concept of risk? Darwinism at work.
Horrific for those involved I meant. I've been first on the scene when a worker hit a 33kV cable so I've seen the injuries and carnage first hand.
Whatever goes through people's minds, the lack of respect for the potential danger, whether they think "it'll never happen to me" or god only knows what, it's still not pleasant to hear about such an event, especially so close to Christmas.
