There used to be one very nice interactive map with ongoing and planned electrification works, would anyone have the url handy?

Hefty pinches of salt required when it comes to "propesed electrification" on ORM. It still shows HS2 going through Leeds as well as in-fill schemes for Wokingham/Aldershot/Guildford/Reigate.
Oh I know.
However, they've just started showing susbtation locations (if you zoom all the way in) which is welcome upgrade
Yes, the new app version is quite nice.

Interestingly "James Wemyss" over on the Scot Rail Io group has been through the Network Rail Engineering Access Statements and has highlighted the following:

I decided to check if there were any new or updated versions of the Engineering Access Statement (EAS) showing on Network Rail's website.
A version one of the period between October 2027 to March 2028 has been released but not a version of the period between March 2027 and October 2027 yet.

Use this link, then click EAS, click the year you want in this case 27-28 and then the version you want that at the moment is only V1. Scroll down and you want SCO (Scotland) and the S7.pdf file. View on the web or download / save copy to your device.

I haven't had time to study the new/latest releases fully but the 27 to 28 document lists: Dundee Station Project resulting in its full closure during the set possession periods, ARU Project at Perth (what does the ARU stand for as some of the possessions when this appears are from Dunblane to Dundee whilst others are Perth to Stanley SB?), Muirton Project including Muirton S&C (notation says 'pre work EIS' so I'd presume a significant package of work that requires clearance of an Environmental Impact Statement with the Council?), the new through platform at Arbroath built during a four week closure of the line between Errol/Leuchars and Craiginches (Aberdeen) with various bridge projects included during this period (29th Feb to 26th March 2028 inclusive).
A2CB expecting to recommence but now called the ARU Project?

The 27 to 28 EAS also has further WHL and Kyle block periods.
If he is correct then we have some chunky works coming up in the Dundee area and some rather interesting works at Arbroath (new through platform, hmmm).

I'll fix the link in the quote once I get near a PC

Anyone know what this tender is about, or where it is for ?
Colas Rail UK intends to procure and operate a Wiring Consist for the installation of contact and catenary wire.

The Consist comprises of two powered modules

Wiring Module a self propelled rail vehicle equipped with a four cable wiring module and two capstans.
Stringing platform a self propelled vehicle equipped with an elevating/rotating platform and one wire positioning unit.

Colas Rail requires specialist technical support from a suitably competent organisation to

Assess and recommend the most appropriate operational and certification strategy for the Wiring Consist.
Identify the applicable UK legislative, standards, compliance and acceptance requirements.
Support the development of a technical specification suitable for procurement and tendering to manufacturers.
Support the definition of the certification and acceptance process for the selected solution.
Provide technical support during manufacturer engagement and subsequent certification activities, as required.
