Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. Also my cutting pasting has lost some of the formatting, so sorry about that too!
I thought this was quite well explained by SouthEastern, but wondered if anyone could add anything to this? For example what sort of "electrical supply problems"?+++++++++++++++++++
Disruption between Hastings and Tonbridge expected until the end of the day
Due to electrical supply problems between Tonbridge and Hastings fewer trains are able to run on all lines.
Impact:
Train services running through these stations may be cancelled or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
What's happened?
----------------------
A power supply problem which occurred on Monday will continue to affect services between Tonbridge and Hastings throughout the day on Tuesday.
How does it affect my journey?
-----------------------------------
- We are only able to run trains every 30 minutes between Tonbridge and Hastings, and these trains cannot be longer than 8 coaches.
- Most trains which normally start or end their journeys at Tunbridge Wells will be unable to run between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.
What do I need to do?
--------------------------
You may use your ticket on the following alternative routes, at no extra charge:
- High Speed services via Ashford - this is for tickets from Hastings (and intermediate stations) to London only
- Southern services between Tonbridge and London Victoria via Redhill, between Hastings and Victoria via Eastbourne and between Uckfield and London Bridge.
- London Underground between our London terminal stations.
- Replacement buses between Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge which will run in the direction towards Tonbridge only.
Parking at other stations in the area is extremely limited, so we recommend against driving to an alternative station.
You may wish to delay your journey until after the rush hour, if possible.
