Just bought a new Philip rechargeable shaver. It came with a standard UK 3 pin plug charger cable. My old shaver had a 2 pin plug charger cable which I plugged into the shaver socket in my bathroom, which is what I would like to continue doing.
My question is, can I use my old shaver cable on the new shaver? The connections into both shavers are the same, but the outputs from both plugs are different. They are as follows:
New 3 pin plug: Output 15v 0.3A 5.4w
Old 2 pin plug: Output 8.0v 100MA (no w indicated)
From what I can see the output from my old plug is lower, so firstly can it be used without damaging the shaver, and secondly if ok would it just take longer to charge? Thank you.
