Does anyone know what the signalling issues are at Effingham Junction? They started yesterday afternoon and are still on going. It must be fairly big problem not to have been able to fix it yet.

Not sure what the problems were, but just been on a train from Waterloo to Effingham Jcn, cut short at Epsom because, almost exact quote from the guard, "The problems at Effingham yesterday are back again".
I had read earlier they were having slippery rail conditions and they had to get a rail treatment train there. I assume that was just an unlucky coincidence, given the current weather.

Rather ironic given a large number of the MPVs are based in the former carriage shed there.
