EDL sued by the Manic Street Preachers

I'm all for expression of free speech but there comes a limit when it starts to make sections of the community feel threatened and the EDL are masters of that. Similarly, there are no bigger fascists than the Anti-fascists and they are equally as bad, if not more violent, as the EDL. Extremism is wrong in all forms and is a disease on society

One thing that puzzles me, why the Tommy Robinson pseudonym? And why try to travel to the USA with a dodgy passport?

1) Steven Yaxley-Lennon was in the BNP prior to establishing the EDL in 2009 (there's a photo of him at a BNP meeting in Luton in 2007 on the internet), and using a pseudonym would hide his prior connections. Tommy Robinson was also the name of a member of the Luton Town hooligan firm the MIGs, whom Yaxley-Lennon was a member of.

2) Interestingly enough he left the USA on his real passport which bore the name 'Paul Harris', suggesting he uses more than one identity for legal purposes. I think he entered the USA on a false passport because the EDL was falling apart for various reasons (one of the main ones was that Yaxley-Lennon wasn't explicitly racist or white nationalist, whereas quite a few EDL division leaders are, to the best of my knowledge), and by being arrested and imprisoned he'd cement his status as EDL leader by turning himself into a martyr for their cause.
