Has this place change much since it opened in the 70s, Who were the top signallers ,characters, and dare i say troublemakers, is it stll grades F ????

I could be misunderstanding you but NX is normally used as shorthand for National Express and if that's what you mean I'm not sure why you're asking that as signalling is a matter for Network Rail (formally Railtrack).

NX is a type of signalling panel. It stands for Entry-Exit due to the way the routes are set up on the panel.

The grades have changed so it would now be a 7 minimum, probably higher though.

Dunno but the last one I spoke to and reported a code 2 signalling fault was a right miserable so and so. I must have made him drop his choccy digestive in his mug of tea when I called him.

Thats why I was asking, there always was rumours about the place was riddled with bad tempered ill natured and left wing trouble makers who were always trying to antagonise managers, and would strike at a minutes notice,.....

I believe there are websites if that's your thing.

This thread is now rather awkward for me, as I know a couple of the staff in there.
