I believe the OP is referring to what looks like a two lane road crossing over the tramway between the park and ride and Gogarburn.

This has come up before - the question was asked here, with answers following.
when i was in training to be a driver, they said this was designed with a new town in mind as a way of future proofing public transport for it.No, what I'm referring to is the station looking thing to the right of the road crossing, hence why I said "disused / never opened station", circled in red...

Thanks, good to see a bit of future proofing!
you read my mind - I was also going to post this todayI'm surprised that nobody has posted a link, but the Council's consultation for the proposed North-South line has been up and running for a while. It ends on the 17th this month.

I did wonder whether a wider subset of the forum community (not just those following this thread) with expertise / experience in other mass-transit systems might be interested in giving views. I don't think the consultation can only be completed by Edinburgh City Region residents - but this would probably require moderator permission to post it in a general section so it doesn't automatically just get moved back here
What do you mean nobody posted a link?I'm surprised that nobody has posted a link, but the Council's consultation for the proposed North-South line has been up and running for a while. It ends on the 17th this month.
