Edinburgh to Manchester via Glasgow

I am wanting to book the 1845 from Edinburgh to Manchester on Thur 24th August, changing at Glasgow on the 2010 Virgin service and again at Wigan North Western at 2259. This is to get a seat and hopefully a much quieter train than simply getting the 2014 direct TPE, as the festivals are on (not to mention, it's cheaper!). I can get Edinburgh to Wigan via Glasgow (VTWC + connections) but not on to Manchester as well, anyone advise how?

Have you tried trainsplit.com?

Simply specifying two via points, of GLC and WGN, should do it.
