Hi all,

I've noticed on traksy there was a 20MPH speed restriction in the berth at Craiglockhart junction, as well as 'HEAT' - that seems fairly self explanatory, but also on my way back from work, looking over the Mayfield Rd. overbridge (around 2 miles away as the crow flies), there was a speed restriction 'Dalek' on the line towards Niddrie (opposite direction to Craiglockhart). Purely out of my own boring interest, would anyone happen to know whether that restriction is related or something else?

All the best.

Daley is a slang term for an Emergency Indicator, a board with black and yellow chevrons and flashing lights which is placed to warn Drivers of an Emergency (ie unplanned) Speed Restriction. If the Indicator is missing or defective the Signaller is required to advise Drivers, which may be the case here.
