At a guess, doubling back between Haymarket and Edinburgh (as an "Edinburgh Stations" group would allow) when it's not strictly permitted?

Interavailability of tickets to/from either Haymarket and Edinburgh Waverley being accepted at either station.

Something like a Mussleburgh-Edinburgh ticket will see FSR take all of the ORCATS revenue.
Mussleburgh-Edinburgh Stations may see XC/VEC/VWC/TPE all take a (minor) share for the Edinburgh-Haymarket section.
They'd have to make Haymarket a Pick Up/Set Down stop on InterCity services to avoid that.
For some journeys, the revenue loss (through redistribution) will be tiny, but for tickets like Annual Seasons, even if 2-3% is reallocated to other TOCs, it can be substantial overall.
