Currently I have the return portion of an Edinburgh Park to Inverness return as I intended to leave from here early.

I have now changed my plans and will be starting from Edinburgh Waverley.

Starting from there, can I use an Edinburgh - Haymarket single and then use the other ticket for the remainder?

Edinburgh Park to Inverness via Haymarket is permitted but I still wasn't sure if this was.

Yes, dont see this causing any issues, you can iether travel via HYM or via Stirling. Alternatively a bus or tram single to Haymarket is only 1.60

Assuming the train you are using stops at Haymarket (they may all do so, I don't know the timetable).

I'm pretty sure that the only regular passenger trains which are scheduled to both call at Edinburgh Waverley and pass Haymarket are the up and down Lowland Sleepers.
