Edinburgh Coach Lines and Scottish citylink

Edinburgh Coach Lines have just started a contract from 5th June, with Scottish Citylink to run a new G92 Citylink Gold service from Edinburgh-Inverness, using brand new 17 plate Irizar Tri axle i6, are they covering just this service or any Citylink Gold service? How many coaches have they bought for Citylink Gold? As a company what are they like? Will they do any other Citylink services?

I am going up to Scotland end of June and doing a 3 day explorer pass, will do new Citylink Gold service and do report on whole 3 day trip.

It is the old M90, now G90, that has converted to Gold with 2 of them. It is Stagecoach drivers that use it on the working that starts at Inverness in the morning. The third spare Gold coach should be on the M92 from Ednburgh to Aberdeen leaving Edinburgh in the morning. It is the first M92 of the day, NOT the G92 which is Parks. If available, it will run on that as a normal coach (no Gold Host).

Edinburgh coach lines used to have m92 shorts contract betwee Edin and Dundee.

First m92 from Edinburgh is 8am.

I never know explore pass was vaild on the gold service. I have heard some fare are 40 quid single.

Have used the 3 day explorer pass a few time, which now £49.00, always been valid on the Gold services, it is really good value, will aim to do Glasgow-Uig return on first day if 22.00hrs Megabus is on time from London, due in 06.30, Uig coach due out 06.50, if not make it, then probably go to Edinburgh for the new G90 Edinburgh-Inverness service, then go from there.
