ECW Leyland Olympians

Hello there.

We have just secured a former Strathclyde ECW Olympian for preservation - LO22, KGG142Y.

Whilst we have identified vehicles in Barnsley scrapyards - we are on the lookout for any ECW Olympians which may be tucked away at the back of yards being broke for spares, are withdrawn, or even preservation failures.
Without even touching on the Glasgow specific parts, we are looking for general parts - obvious ones being windows, rear vents, upper deck and lower deck emergency doors, seat frames, poles etc.

I can't be 100% sure as I left the firm just over 2 years ago, but York Pullman had a ECW Olympian (albeit open top) in their yard which was only being kept as an engine donor. Might be worth dropping them an email (Tom James is still in charge after sale to FirstBus), they might be able to help.

Looks an interesting project and a lucky survivor, were there many flat screened ECW Olympians? Good luck with the project!!

You may want to contact the Bromley Bus Preservation Group on Facebook. They have a number of Olympians, some actively under preservation, who may be able to help or point you in the right direction.

Been a subscriber to Bus & Coach Preservation since 2005.... Got four buses in various states of restoration.
First ECW Olympian to the collection, do dipping toes in water to see if anyone knows of any unloved survivors.
