Passing Lee Spur Jn this morning, I noticed a Class 465 sitting on the Up Spur, presumably this working. I wasn't aware that SET drivers signed this spur. Is it often used for ECS moves?

It doesn't strike me as unusual, given that it links Orpington, Grove Park and Slade Green, and there were certainly timetabled workings over it in the days when I had easy access to the WTT.

The current WTT should be on the Network Rail site if you want to check.

Sorry, you are absolutely right, I'd just had some diffiulty finding these schedules before. I was also surprised I'd never seen one there before.

Sorry and thanks,
Joe

Indeed, available for passengers on SET trains in an emergency.

Trespassers on the line at Hither Green a number of years ago meant that the train I was on was diverted around the Lee spur to Grove Park from the Sidcup line.
